Mi-17 – Avionics upgrade

The modernized Mi 17 helicopter system consists of VOR/ILS, DME, ADF, TACAN and GPS. All the navigation data are displayed on the MFD-255K multifunctional displays and on the back-up CDI and RMI indictors. Radio altimeter and barometric instruments were exchanged to comply with imperial unit calibration requirements.
The navigation system is completed by the weather radar system which is displayed on the multifunctional displays.
In order to integrate the modernized systems with the original ones two new interface units were developed - BPP-17SK and BPR-17SK.
