POLARIS, SPS GPS receiver

The rugged GPS receiver POLARIS manufactured by Rockwell Collins company brings to the market easy-to-get hand held GPS receiver and it represents also an alternative training solution for the military PPS GPS receivers of class PLGR (PPS-SM architecture, AOC) and DAGR (SAASM architecture) which are much more difficult to obtain (only through FMS case). Interchangeability in this case means the full input/output and mechanical (only for DAGR, not for PLGR) compatibility. Its construction predestinates the POLARIS to applications where the fact that it is just the SPS receiver does not matter and where the customer is preparing himself for the use of DAGR units.
