The BPAP-26M interface unit was developed to interface the Free Flight FF2101 I/O Approach Plus GPS receiver to the AP-28L1autopilot. BPAP 26M facilitates flights according to the preloaded flight plan in the FreeFlight 2101 I/O Approach Plus unit. The interface unit ensures switching between the information sources for AP-28L1 – the ZK 2 course selector and GPS. The unit converts the Roll Steering signal of the GPS to turning signal of the ZK-2 course selector in such way that it conducts the plane to the desired track.
BPAP-26M interface unit is used in the AN-26 modernization programs.
